Spring Is Here — And So Are Your Hens

Spring Is Here — And So Are Your Hens

Spring is our favorite time of year at Stafford Hill Farms — and not just because the weather finally cooperates. It's because the farm fills up with new flocks heading to new homes, and we get to watch first-time chicken keepers discover what we already know: there's nothing quite like walking out to your coop in the morning and collecting your own eggs.

Our spring 2026 pickup season is underway, and two of our five dates are already sold out. Here's where things stand:

  • March 21 — Sold out
  • April 18 — Sold out
  • May 16 — 520 spots remaining
  • June 20 — 1,000 spots remaining
  • 🕒 September 2026 — Coming soon

All pickups are at 58 Sheehan Road, Fletcher NC 28732, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM.

What to Expect at Pickup

Our pullets are 16–18 weeks old at pickup — right at or near point-of-lay. Bring a secure transport container (dog crate, ventilated tote, or cardboard box), plan for about 1 square foot per bird, and you're set. We also sell transport boxes for $3.00 if you need one.

10 Breeds to Choose From

We raise Golden Comets, Barred Rocks, White Leghorns, Buff Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds, French Copper Marans, Speckled Sussex, Olive Eggers, Silver Laced Wyandottes, and Gold Laced Wyandottes. Not sure which breed is right for you? Our Beginner's Guide breaks it all down.
